Steaks from the Carpet Guy
Steaks (good cuts or cheap cuts are delicious when made this way)
Olive oil
Kosher Salt
Fresh cracked pepper
Fresh rosemary
Fresh Thyme
Rub both sides of each steak with a bit of olive oil. Sprinkle both sides with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste (buy some good salt and a good pepper grinder. I'm convinced that using these fresh ingredients makes ALL the difference in flavor)
Cut the rosemary and thyme from their stems and give it a rough chop just to release the flavors. (won't taste as good if you use dried from a jar, but of course you can if you must)
Sprinkle both sides of steaks with rosemary and thyme and press it into the meat so it sticks. Let them marinate for 30 minutes or longer if you have the time.
Cook steaks on the grill to desired doneness, and serve.
I cooked these in my panini press and they were fabulous. Done in about 7 minutes. Last night I served these with simple frozen corn and breadsticks. But you can serve this with a nice side salad or whatever you prefer.
